Star Wars Night with Tommy Lloyd
The Tucson Sugar Skulls will play at home this Saturday, May 2, for one of the most anticipated theme nights of the season—Star Wars Night—as they take on the San Antonio Gunslingers at the Tucson Arena. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., with the doors opening at 5 p.m.
Fans can expect a special appearance from University of Arizona men’s basketball head coach Tommy Lloyd, who will serve as honorary captain alongside members of his coaching staff.
Saturday will also feature a debut of two key roster additions. Quarterback Tasleem “Taz” Wilson brings veteran leadership and production, while defensive back Charles “Chucky” Williams, who has recorded over 200 career tackles at the University of Louisville, adds experience and physicality to the secondary.
On the field, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet and Percussion will perform the national anthem. Fans will have the chance to win tickets to the Symphony’s Star Wars performances at the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall.
Themed entertainment will also feature a kid’s combo, including a hot dog, chips, and Chewbacca cookie. The Boneyard will transform into a galaxy far, far away, and fans are encouraged to arrive early and dress as their favorite Star Wars characters.
Don’t miss your chance to be part of the experience as the Sugar Skulls look to defend home turf Saturday night.
